Hydraulic Plate and Frame Filter Press
Applications:
1. Medium volume hydraulic plate and frame filter presses are among our most popular products, due to their ease of use.
2. We provide medium capacity filters that range in plate size from 500mm to 1,000mm. The filter press opening and closing is achieved using a hydraulic cylinder. Optional pressure holding types include automatic (electric) and mechanical (locknut).
3. Plate sizes are available for plate and frame models at 650mm, 810mm, 870mm, and 920mm.
Presentation
The electric powered hydraulic pumping unit maintains the hydraulic pressure of the filter, and if the pressure exceeds the relief setting, the pressure is vented to keep the levels within the specified range. Added electric hydraulics are optional to decrease the filter press opening and closing times. For added operator and equipment protection, the hydraulic power unit is enclosed within the leg of the filter press that specifically supports the hydraulic cylinder. Components of the hydraulic cylinder include a high and low pressure pump to open and close the plate stack quickly, as well as a low volume and high pressure pump that clamps the plate stack. Once the plate stack is closed, the high pressure hydraulic pump clamps onto the plate stack with enough force and enough of a safety factor to counteract the pressure of the slurry feed. Electric hydraulics are monitors for the status of the filter press system, and feature optional emergency stop devices as well as touch screen control of the filter press hydraulics.
Caution
This filter press is not suited for low solid content suspensions with small particles, and treating the filter machine as such will only result in a bad filtering performance. The particles will flow through the filter cloth instead of being blocked, resulting in a filtrate that is not clear.
