Our mechanical grabs are suitable for cranes, port machines, and ship unloaders. The lifting weight is anywhere between 3.2t-75t, with a bulk material density of 0.6-3.2t/m³. The mechanical bulk grab is most often used for grain, coal, cement, sulphur, ore and other materials. The bucket volume and ration can be customized to meet specific customer requirements.

Production Process:

A: Mechanical Clamshell Grab (Wire Rope Dual Scoop Grab Bucket for Bulk Cargo)

The wire-rope, dual scoop grab is ideal for sand, coal, mineral powder and bulk fertilizer. It can work under most conditions. The clamshell grab has two hoisting drums and is used to grab bulk materials. These grabs are widely used in ports, electrical industry, shipping vessels and metallurgy.

By simulating various working conditions the bulk grab can be used in, we have enhanced and optimized the main parts to allow the weight distribution to be even, and distribute stress in a more efficient manner in order to increase the service life.

C: Nickel Ore Multipurpose Grab

This design minimizes the resistance during the material handling process, and makes it easier to unload sticky materials such as clay and mud.

Our first two 25t nickel ore multipurpose grabs were produced in October of 2011 and were put to use by Liangyuang Dongtai Co., Ltd. This multipurpose grab was patented by the State Intellectual Property Office with the patent number 200120535310.5. We have also applied for several design patents.

Promotional Value
1. This tool is similar to an ordinary bivalve grab in weight, but lighter than a plate-type nickel ore grab. It is capable of grabbing more materials as well.
2. With a linear bottom and the arc transition between the side plates and a bottom plate, as well as a bucket bottom rear end, nickel ore will not be pressed during the grabbing process, and will not stick to the mechanical grab.
3. Compared to the orange peel grab, this multipurpose grab is able to grab more materials. Users do not need to change between grabs when taking inventory.
4. A multipurpose grab can grab a variety of materials without replacing the grab bucket.

D: Timber Mechanical Grab for Wood
The timber grab is used for loading and unloading logs, which is suitable to be used in ports, forestry centers and woodyards.

E: Dredging Grab/ Salvage Grab
Dredging grabs work underwater for hauling mud, hard clay, iron sand, blasting rocks and salvage for shipping. There are multiple seals to prevent sand and water from entering the sheaves. A dredging grab from us comes in two types: dual scoop and orange peel. The series ranges from 6 to 200t.

F. Scissors Grab for Ore, Coal, Bulk Fertilizer
The wire-rope scissors grab is a newly designed bulk grab suitable for cranes with two drums used for loading and unloading of iron ore, coal, bulk fertilizer and other materials. Its new structure makes for an easy operation, light dead weight, and a high loading weight. When the grab loads the iron ore or other material, its ratio is 1:2.5. The grab has a short opening and closing stroke, and needs only half the time for withdrawing the closing rope. This improves the loading and unloading efficiency and decreases the abrasion when compared to other similar products on the market today.
