Butachlor
Butachlor is an acetanilide herbicide. As a selective pre-emergent herbicide, it can kill annual grassy weeds and some dicotyledonous weeds such as crabgrass, green bristle grass, Monochoria vaginalis, pasture, and sand grass, etc. It is ideal for use in diversified crops including the cabbages, beans, carrots, spinaches, and the solanaceous plants, etc.
Applications
1. In rice paddies, butachlor is suitable for pre-emergence control of annual grasses and some broad-leaved weeds. It shows selectivity in barley, cotton, peanuts, sugar beet, wheat and several brassica crops.
2. Dose of its effective ingredients ranges from 1.0kg/hectare to 4.5kg/hectare. Activity of butachlor in rice paddies is dependent on water availability such as irrigation and the amount of precipitation after planting.
3. This product is commonly used for pre-emergence soil surface treatment. As one of the important rice paddy herbicides, it is also proper for post-treatment of rice cultivation.
