Metallized Polypropylene Film Capacitor, CBB65A Series
In applications where explosion is a major concern, the CBB65A series metallized polypropylene film capacitor might be your best bet. With the addition of a rupture disc, the film cap automatically cuts off its power supply in the event of overheating. As the dielectric loses its insulating capability over time, it produces too much heat leading to the deformation of the capacitor case. This thermal expansion causes the rupture disc to break, which in turn powers off the capacitor. Due to its excellent self-healing property, extended use life, and maximum safety, the metallized polypropylene film capacitor can be extensively used in air conditioners, refrigerators, motors, and lighting fixtures.
At the heart of the SF218 series metallized polypropylene film capacitor is a wound core that consists of a thin film of polypropylene which operates as the dielectric, coated with conductive metal materials. The winding of these layers is done with a winding machine. The entire assembly of metallized polypropylene film capacitor is painted with refined castor oil to aid in maintaining a vacuum environment and resisting high temperature.
To ensure safe use in environments rife with opportunities for explosion, we’ve specially devised a new generation of explosion-proof capacitor design to suit it for installation in air conditioners, refrigerators, power generators, and lamps.
