Galvalume Steel Coil
Aluminum Roofing/ Galvalume Sheet/ Roofing Sheet
Our galvalume steel coil is commonly applied for roofing and siding of houses, construction of electrical cabinets and the production of shells of household appliances. It is widely used in many areas such as the construction industry, household appliance industry, vehicle and vessel manufacturing industry and electromechanical industry. Our ultra-thin high-strength galvalume steel coil is a popular material sold in Southeast Asia, Central Asian, Southeast Asia, Africa and South America.
The thickness of the sheet ranges from 0.15 to 1.2mm, while the width ranges from 750 to 1,250mm. The percent of aluminum, zinc and silicon used is set strictly in accordance with relevant standards, which is 55% : 43.5% : 1.5%. We make use of the same production procedure as the American Iron and Steel United Corporation. Depending on the coating weight, the hot-dip galvanized steel coil is divided into soft and hard types. In compliance with G550 standards, the hard type has a hardness greater than HRB85. We can recommend the appropriate steel coil for our customers based on their requirements for thickness, width, coating weight, coating type and usage environment. Due to restrictions imposed by raw material and production cost, our minimum order quantity is 50 tons.
Features
1. The product features a smooth surface, high strength, impact resistance, bending resistance, compression resistance, aging resistance and deformation resistance. These sheets can work as an enclosure bearing structure for ceilings.
2. Compared with hot dip galvanized or aluminized steel coil, it has better capacity of withstanding corrosion caused by atmosphere, water and soil. It can resist corrosion 2 to 6 times longer than hot dip galvanized steel coil. It is ideal for production of devices, which require high anti-corrosion capacity and include vehicle mufflers, exhaust pipes, grain dryers and water heaters.
3. Its heat reflection factor is higher than 75 percent, which is twice of that of hot dip galvanized steel coil.
4. In addition, it also features great heat resistance and oxidation resistance. It will not fade in an environment with temperatures as high as 300 ℃ for a long time and can work normally even imposed upon temperature ranging from 500 to 600℃.
5. It has similar weldability to hot dip galvanized steel coil. The product is able to endure the cold bending process and punching process. Aluminum also has a smaller specific gravity than zinc.
6. The specific gravity of al-zn alloy and zinc is 3.7kg/dm3 and 7.1kg/dm3 respectively. Hence, al-zn alloy coating features smaller weight than zinc coating with the same thickness. As a result, cost caused by coated metal can be considerably reduced.
Precautions
1. The product should be kept in a well-ventilated dry room, not in the open air since it is difficult to control outdoor temperature differences. Large temperature differences could easily cause moisture condensation to damage the coil.
2. The ground of the storage area should be as flat as possible and hard objects should be also removed. The ground should have a large bearing capacity.
3. Generally, stacking storage should be avoided to prevent damage. In circumstances where stacking storage is applied for some reasons, the number of stacking layers should be strictly controlled and steel coil with heavy weight and large dimensions should be placed at the bottom.
4. Protect the coils from moisture.
5. We do not recommend storage of large quantities of the steel coil in environment rich in sulfur dioxide, and steel coil which has already been exposed to such an environment, should be moved as soon as possible.
