Tunnel Kiln
A tunnel kiln is just that. A kiln car moves green wares through a long, horizontal tunnel for firing and cooling. The main advantages of a tunnel kiln lie in its ability to fire a variety of ceramic products, including porcelain, sanitary ware, glazed ware (glost-fired ware), and unglazed ware (bisque-fired ware or biscuit ware).
Zhongyao tunnel kiln can use an array of fuels as well, including LPG, natural gas, coal gas, diesel, and heavy oil. It operates on an open-flame principle. The firing temperature ranges from 1000°C to 1280°C. The duration of the firing cycle can be anywhere between 6 and 15 hours, depending on the type of wares that need to be fired. Distributed computer control system paired with an array of intelligent devices ensures precise control of the process. The kiln is not closed during firing, so operators can easily observe changes in firing process.
Internal liners are made of lightweight, excellent insulating materials for extended service life. This continuous moving ware kiln comes equipped with highly-efficient burners that completely burn the fuel. Production rates can be adjusted to suit a specific production need. Finished wares have consistent quality.
