Conveyor Drums / Drum Pulleys
Conveyor pulley is often applied as the driving component in fixed belt conveyors. It falls into two major categories: drive pulley and bend pulley. The former provides transmission force for conveyors, while the latter is utilized to change direction. Both can be classified into light duty, medium duty and heavy duty types by load capacity.
Light duty drive pulley is a device where the wheel and axle are connected at a point and then form a plate for welding. In a medium duty one, the wheel and axle are connected using a taper lock hub and then also form a welding plate. Heavy duty pulley utilizes a taper lock hub to connect the wheel and axle as well. However, its welding structure becomes the drum body. Heavy drive pulley can be designed with single or double output shafts. Its surface treatment is rubber lagging.
The surface of our conveyor pulley can be smooth steel and rubber or polyurethane coated.

Rubber conveyor pulley is often used to ensure stable operation of a conveying system for following reasons. First, rubber is able to efficiently protect metal drum from wear, prevent conveyor belt from slipping and synchronize the drum and the belt. In addition, rubber pulley can also alleviate sliding friction between the drum and the belt and rude material cementationon drum surface, thereby diminishing belt offset and abrasion.
Polyurethane conveyor pulley has great wear resistance, which is 3to 5 times of a pulley coated with regular rubber. In addition, it has a wide adjustable range of Shore hardness, which enables us to determine the hardness based on customers' specific requirements. The pulley also features great oil resistance, corrosion resistance, solvent resistance, high elasticity and long service life.
Cleaning and slagging conveyor pulley is often applied as a bend pulley or a snub pulley. It is able to prevent material delivered from sticking onto conveyor belt and remove it if it does adhere to the belt. The material removed will fall out the belt directly through the pulley's conical surface and won't stick to the belt for the second time.
The cleaning pulley is designed with an unique structure. An automatic welding equipment is adopted to ensure superior quality and high strength welding. The pulley also goes through medium-temperature annealing treatment, which results in small residual stress and long service life.
