AC Filter Capacitor (Self-healing Type)
One downside to the use of rectifiers, variable frequency drives, large power motors, and shoddy energy-efficient lighting in a power or signal system is that it produces voltage and signal anomalies that tend to disrupt the normal run of the entire facility. A filter capacitor is a great way to filter out voltages, frequencies or currents that exceed the pre-set value, preventing power or signal circuit overload.
With an ability to withstand more than 50% of total harmonic current distortion, the filter capacitor is a great addition to any power capacitor, as it protects the power capacitor from breakdown.
