Air/Material Separators

We offer two types of air/material separators: plate-type separators and cyclone separators. These devices separate waste paper from the pressurized conveying air containing paper dust. The separator inlet is connected to the outlet duct of the cutter blower.

Under normal operating conditions, the exhaust air from a plate-type separator contains a relatively high concentration of paper dust. Its air outlet must therefore be connected to a pulse-jet bag filter for air purification. After filtration, particulate emissions are substantially reduced, helping the system comply with applicable local air-emission requirements.

The exhaust air discharged directly from a cyclone separator contains a small amount of paper dust, but significantly less than that discharged from a plate-type separator. Cyclone separators are therefore suitable for facilities with less stringent exhaust-air quality requirements.
