The 3A molecular sieve is an alkali metal alumino-silicate, a potassium form for the type A crystal structure. Type 3A has an aperture of about 3 angstroms (0.3nm). It does not absorb molecules larger than 3A, and is primarily used to absorb water. The Dohntec molecular sieve has a quick absorption speed, high crushing resistance, excellent pollution resistance, more regenerative cycles and a long service life. It is an ideal desiccant for deep desiccation, refining, and polymerization of the gaseous phase and liquid phase in the petrochemical industry.

Typical Application
1. Drying of unsaturated hydrocarbons (e.g. ethylene, propylene, butadiene)

This molecular sieve has an aperture of about 4 angstroms (0.4mm) and does not absorb any molecules large than 4A, including propane. It absorbs water, methanol, ethanol, sulfated hydrogen, sulfur dioxide, carbon dioxide, ethylene, and propylene.
