Key Applications
- Polymer Additives: Used as an antioxidant, light stabilizer, and weathering additive in polyolefins, PVC, ABS, and rubber products.
- Coatings & Inks: Help provide yellowing resistance, antioxidant protection, and UV shielding in outdoor coatings, wood coatings, and printing inks.
- Dyes & Pigments: Serves as an intermediate for synthesizing azo dyes, acid dyes, and fluorescent dyes.
- Cosmetics & Sunscreens: Used as a UV absorber in sunscreen products and an antioxidant in skincare formulations
- Pressure-Sensitive Recording Paper: Used as a color developer and stabilizer to improve the light and heat resistance of paper products
- Pharmaceuticals & Fragrances: Utilized as an antioxidant and preservative intermediate
Emergency Handling
- Skin Contact: Remove contaminated clothing immediately. Wash skin thoroughly with plenty of water and soap for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical attention if irritation persists.
- Eye Contact: Rinse immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes while holding the eyelids open. Seek medical attention promptly.
- Inhalation: Move the affected person to fresh air and keep the airway clear. Administer oxygen if breathing is difficult. If breathing stops, provide artificial respiration and seek medical help immediately.
- Ingestion: Rinse mouth with water. Do not induce vomiting. Seek medical attention immediately.
- Fire: Use dry chemical powder or carbon dioxide for extinguishing. Do not use a direct water jet, as it may cause splashing.
Packaging & Storage
- Packaging: Sealed packaging with an inner plastic bag (20 kg per package).
- Storage Conditions: Store at room temperature in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated warehouse. Keep away from heat sources and open flames.
- Storage Requirements
- Store separately from strong oxidizing agents, strong alkalis, and food products.
- Keep containers tightly closed to protect the product from moisture and light.
- Stack packages at least 10 cm above the ground and keep them away from heating systems and pipelines.
Handling Precautions
- Ventilation & Dust Control: Handle in a fume hood or with adequate exhaust ventilation to prevent dust generation and inhalation.
- Fire Prevention: Keep open flames, sparks, and smoking away from the production area. Use explosion-proof electrical equipment where required.
- Incompatible Materials: Do not store or mix with strong oxidizing agents or strong alkalis.
- Spill & Waste Disposal: Collect small spills with dry sand or inert absorbent materials. Dispose of waste through a licensed hazardous waste contractor. Do not discharge directly into the environment.
