Clockwork starter motor springs are often equipped on the power supply units of movable generators, outdoor generators or garden machinery starters including gasoline engine, mowers, chainsaws and lawn mowers. Clockwork starter motor springs are made through reverse winding or traditional methods, based on customer requirements. They are designed to release enough force to pull strings with a length of within 2 meters of limited space. The motors are started using a pull string, and the required strength in the power spring is achieved by adjusting the spring strip hardness. These power springs are designed to match specific products in a variety of fields.
Parameter- Springs of materials: The clockwork starter motor springs can be made of 62Si2MnA, 65Mn and BTX carbon steel.
- Size ranges: thickness 0.4-1.1mm, width 4-12mm and length 1300-2200mm
- Springs of properties: After heat treatment, the highest hardness of 62Si2MnA can reach HV550-570 and the fatigue lifetime is 15000-25000 times, while the highest hardness of 65Mn can reach HV480-550 and the fatigue lifetime is 10000-20000 times, the highest hardness of BTX carbon steel is HV560-590 and the fatigue life is 20000-50000 times.
