Disc Coupling, Disc Pack Coupling
The disc coupling usually consists of two aluminum hubs and one or two stainless steel discs. The metal disc is very thin and when misalignment occurs, the metal disc will easily bend, allowing for minimal deviation.
The difference between a single disc coupling and double disc coupling is that the single disc coupling doesn't accommodate parallel misalignment, and will absorb less misalignments than a double disc coupling. However, the double disc coupling can absorb more misalignments, including a parallel misalignment due to its double discs.
The disc type coupling is a high performance shaft coupling, known for its high strength, long service life, and better misalignment absorption ability. Traditionally, these disc couplings can adapt up to 10,000 rmp.

Applications:
The disc couplings are widely used in printing machine, vacuum/air compressing system, battery module assembling device, diagnostic imaging device, actuator, dicing saw, NC lathe, chip mounter, robot, laser machine, machine tool, machining center, coater/coating machine, testing and packing machine.
- The disc coupling has a number of advantages, including a quick response, high torsional stiffness, and a high misalignment absorption amount due to the use of stainless steel disc in the middle of the coupling.
- During the torque transmission process, there is no backlash.
- It has an obvious damping ability, and has low noise levels and less wear.
- It can be operated between -80 to 300 ℃, as well as operated safely in high impact situations.
- The structure is simple and easy to remove. The disc coupling can be taken apart without having to move the machine, and there is no need to use lubrication.
- The clockwise and counterclockwise rotation is the same.
- The disc coupling is available with shaft fastening method as clamp type or clamping ring type, and we will also add a keyway according to customer requirements.
