Rotary Drill Rod
Our rotary drill rod is classified into single-layer, double-layer, and 3-layer types.
It incorporates both inside and outside drill pipes. A ring shaped space is formed between the pipes, working as a channel to transport flushing medium during drilling. The multiple drill rods generate multi-layer internal circulation channel, which works to deliver air and liquid, as well as to accelerate and to guarantee the flow and ejection of debris mixture. In Caston, for the purpose of improving the concentricity and sealing performance of drill pipes, the pin and box type sub joints of double-layer drill rod are formed from hot extrusion molding technique, reducing the risk of construction largely.

- Triple drill rod structure
1. The well wall will almost not be impacted. The well bottom easy to leak and collapse is unaffected
2. Only little drilling fluid is needed; the drill process features little displacement, fast return, and clean well bottom
3. Rotary drill rod shows unique advantages in directional drilling, horizontal drilling, and coring operations
4. It works fast in drilling large-diameter well
5. Caston has developed new drilling technique on the basis of double-layer drill rod
6. Rotary drill rod specification: 5”5 1/2 5 7/8 6 5/8 7 5/8 8 1/2 9 1/2 10;
Steel grade: API E75, X95, G105, S135 and high-strength steels
-
External sealing structure is employed both for double/triple drill rod for the convenience of replacing seal rings and installation
-
The double-layer type drill rod is structured by internal sealing method to protect the sealing rings.
-
Square plugs are used for the rotation of the tongs on pipe ends to ensure that the outer pipe is connected solidly
-
The outer pipe end and pipe body of triple drill rod is positioned accurately, and the outer pipe is welded in butt welding technique, effectively ensuring the concentricity of drill rods
-
Structure of triple drill rod
-
API standard thread is utilized for outer pipe to connect the pipes firmly
-
Internal structure of double drill rod
-
The outer pipe is designed with the thread in line with API standards
