Ni-Span-C Alloy 902 (Ni42CrTi) is a ferromagnetic, precipitation-hardened constant-elasticity alloy composed of iron, nickel, chromium, and titanium. After solution treatment, it exhibits good plasticity, low hardness, and excellent workability, making it easy to process and form into various components. Through solution treatment or cold deformation aging, the alloy achieves enhanced strength and stability, maintaining consistent elastic properties over a wide temperature range.

Applications

Ni42CrTi (3J53) alloy is widely used in the aerospace industry, especially in components that endure tensile, compressive, and bending stresses. It is essential for elastic-sensitive elements and frequency components in longitudinal torque or bending vibration modes, making it ideal for sensors, pressure sensors, signal torque devices, and orthopedic fixation screws that require a stable elastic modulus or frequency. It is also used in thin-film capsules, diaphragms, impact tubes, bellows, precision springs, foil strips, and ultra-mechanical filters, ensuring precision and durability in demanding applications.
