Yuxin Machinery's fully enclosed passive Conveyor Skirtboard Systems are developed for high-dust, high-wear, and environmentally demanding conveying applications. The system encloses the belt conveyor loading zone and suppresses dust without relying on fans or external power.
This Conveyor Skirtboard System is widely used in coal handling systems at power plants, mine crushing lines, port bulk material loading and unloading, and other demanding belt conveyor receiving sections.
- Applicable Belt Width: 500–2400 mm
Note: This Conveyor Skirtboard System can be used as an alternative to standard Conveyor Skirtboard System systems equipped with dust collection fans.
Working Principle
- Material falls through the transfer point. This moving mass generates a high-velocity, induced airflow.
- The moving air picks up loose dust particles. It channels them directly into the enclosed chute.
- The air enters an expanded internal chamber. The spacious circulation path immediately slows down the air velocity.
- Internal damping structures force the air to change direction repeatedly. The airflow loses its kinetic energy, causing the heavy dust to drop back onto the conveyor belt.
- A slight negative-pressure effect forms naturally at the outlet. This pressure boundary acts as an invisible seal, preventing remaining dust from escaping into the environment—supporting cleaner operation at the transfer point.

- Effective dust suppression: Dust concentration can be stably maintained below 8 mg/m³.
- Strong sealing performance: The fully enclosed structure and double sealing design help prevent dust escape and material overflow. Wear-resistant skirt sealing protects the belt without causing belt damage.
- Easy maintenance: The modular design and bolted connection ensure convenient assembly and disassembly. With no fan, filter bags, or ash-cleaning system, the chute requires less routine maintenance.
- Belt protection: Equipped with an impact bed and side slide plates to reduce material impact, belt sagging, and belt mistracking, extending conveyor belt service life.
