The materials are mixed in specific proportions and elaborately processed to make float glass with shiny surface, low-light transmittance. The glass has a smooth and flat surface, uniform thickness, and minimal optical distortion, making it exceptional for automobile sunroofs, side windows, and energy-saving glass products for building curtain walls.
Advantages of Black Automotive Glass
- Black automotive glass, which has been specially developed for car sunroofs and commercial vehicle windows, does an excellent job at keeping the heat out, with only around 10% of visible light and solar energy passing through the glass and a shading coefficient of about 0.4. This means that they can stop more than 50% of solar heat from entering the car, making them great for saving energy and being eco-friendly.
- Black automotive glass has UV transmittance less than 2%, which helps prevent UV rays from damaging any organic materials inside the car, such as the interior decorations.
- Black automotive glass provides good privacy protection, as they look black from the outside, meaning it’s hard to see anything inside the car. However, you can still see clearly from the inside out without any obstruction to the view.
