2 Post Gantry Car Lift
The two post lift is fast and efficient, and its size makes it an ideal choice for mid-sized vehicles such as pickup trucks or vans. We provide two types: symmetric and asymmetric. A symmetric lift has the same arm length on all 4 arms in order to concentrate the car’s center (barycenter) in the middle of the post. However, for a symmetrical post lift that doesn’t have a wide enough post distance, it is unable to allow for opening of the car doors. To solve that issue, the asymmetric lift post can be turned back at a certain angle (generally about 30°). When cars are in the proper position on the asymmetric lift, they can move backwards just enough to allow mechanics in and out of the car doors with ease. This particular lift, with its rotating post, ensures the car’s center of gravity is located right between posts, keeping it stable.
