Gas phase processes save steam during the production process. Under vacuum conditions, use the formaldehyde’s potential heat and the heat generated from the reaction to evaporate the water in the hexamine solution. Gas phase processes for hexamine feature a short route, less side reactions and a high purity. Recycling operations with left over ammonia gas and methanol also remove environmental pollution and decrease consumption.
