Surface Finishing Equipment

The electroplating dryer (also classified as a centrifugal spin dryer or industrial dewatering machine) is an essential surface finishing apparatus deployed during the pre-treatment and post-treatment stages of electroplating lines. By leveraging high-speed rotational mechanics, this plating drying cell rapidly extracts surface water and moisture from bulk parts, preventing substrate oxidation and eliminating water spots.

Model Series & Sizing Specifications

The series is named by internal basket diameter (Φ), covering all operational scales from R&D laboratories to continuous heavy-duty mass production lines:

Small-Scale Series

Φ200mm – Φ400mm

For Laboratories & Small Batches

Φ200mm

Load capacity 5–10 kg Power 0.75 kW Speed 960 r/min

Best for: Micro parts, trial samples.

Φ300mm

Load capacity 15–30 kg Power 1.1 kW

Best for: Laboratory testing, low-volume orders.

Φ400mm

Load capacity 35–45 kg Power 1.5 kW

Best for: Small-to-medium batches, standard fasteners.

Medium-Scale Series

Φ500mm – Φ600mm

For Standard Batch Lines

Φ500mm

Load capacity 50–60 kg Power 2.2 kW

Best for: Standard plating lines, stamping hardware.

Φ600mm

Load capacity 70–90 kg Power 3.0 kW

Best for: Medium production lines, multi-tank clusters.

Large-Scale Series

Φ700mm – Φ810mm

For High-Volume / Heavy Workpieces

Φ700mm

Load capacity 100–120 kg Power 4.0 kW

Best for: Heavy-duty industrial hardware, automotive parts.

Φ800mm / Φ810mm

Load capacity 130–150 kg Power 5.5 kW

Best for: Large-scale components, centralized post-treatment hubs.

Core Technical Parameters
  • Electrical Supply: 380V 50Hz 3-Phase (Mainstream); 220V 1-Phase (For low-power units ≤1.5 kW).
  • Rotational Velocity: 500–960 r/min (Variable Frequency Drive / VFD adjustable).
  • Processing Cycle: Dewatering: 3–5 min; Thermal Drying: 5–10 min.
  • Hot-Air Constant Temperature: 40–80°C (Thermostatically regulated).
  • Industrial Safety Layer: IP54 electrical protection, acid-alkali resistance, anti-rust coating, and mechanical vibration-damping mounts.
  • Cabinet Design: Monoblock stainless steel construction, compact footprint, aesthetic finish, easy to sanitize.
Selection Matrix
  • By Workpiece Weight: Small/light components match Φ200–Φ400mm; Heavy/large components require Φ700–Φ810mm.
  • By Daily Output Volume: Output < 500 kg/day select Φ500mm; 500–2000 kg/day select Φ600–Φ700mm; > 2000 kg/day select Φ800–Φ810mm.
  • By Quality Specification: For standard rust prevention, select basic centrifugal models; for premium finishes requiring no water spots or oxidation, select hot-air or vacuum drying models.
Product Categorization & Type Overview
Dryer Type Working Principle Ideal Workpiece Types
Centrifugal Spin Dryer High-speed basket rotation generates strong centrifugal force to slough liquid off workpiece surfaces. Small industrial hardware, fasteners, screws, and bulk barrel-plated parts.
Hot-Air Centrifugal Dryer Combines continuous forced hot-air blowing with gentle centrifugal rotation to dewater and dry simultaneously. Precision components and high-end decorative electroplated parts requiring non-scratch handling.
Vacuum Moisture Eliminator Drops the boiling point of water inside a sealed vacuum chamber to achieve rapid low-temperature dewatering. Easily oxidized parts, electronics, and highly heat-sensitive electroplated coatings.
