Communication cables or optical fiber cables, are the foundation of communications networks.
As for long distance communications transmission, the reliable connection between two cables or optical cables is the presupposition of the transmission quality. Traditional communication cable connection is realized through lead tubing. This lead sealing craft has low efficiency and difficulty during construction and it is hard to conserve. Even protection against erosion and hermetic sealing cannot be guaranteed.
Our thick dual wall heat shrink tubing can solve this problem. It not only has excellent properties of mechanical protection, anti-erosion protection, pressure resistance but is also very convenient to use and will shrink automatically when exposed to heat. At the same time, the inner hot-melt adhesive will be stuck on the cables tightly and so seal reliably even though submerged in the water or buried under the ground, it will not be affected.
Optical fiber communication is experiencing wider application than traditional communication cables because of the small size and high quality of transmission. If the protection for optical fiber is not so good, and once the fiber cracks or is broken, it will directly influence the quality and working life of the communication project. However, when the fiber is connected, its outer layer and protective layer need to be stripped. The mechanical strength of the weld joint will fall down, so we must enhance protection towards the connected position.
The most commonly used method is the heat shrink protection tubing at the present in optical cable maintenance and construction so it is called optical fiber splice tubing. We can provide dual wall heat shrink tubing in different sizes and thicknesses. When the tubing is heated and shrinks, it will fit the fiber connection tightly. This will not only raise the strength of fiber joint, but also prevent the deformation and bending of the fiber joint, and enable the joint to gain better moisture prevention and dust-proof property.
We also provided a kind of cold shrink tubing made of silicon rubber. It doesn't need to be heated by flame when used so it is more safe and reliable. The only thing to consider is that its cost will be higher than heat shrink tubing so the users need to think about the budget of the communication project comprehensively and then make a choice.
