Our containerized PSA nitrogen generator can separate nitrogen from compressed air utilizing pressure swing adsorption (PSA) technology, which is suitable for production of nitrogen in factories in bulk. All the components are setting inside containers so that the environmental requirement for the installation site is low, which makes it especially suitable for outdoor operations in harsh environment. How PSA Nitrogen Generation Works

PSA nitrogen generation is a technology to separate nitrogen from air by the adsorption ability of carbon molecular sieve under pressure by air compressor. After the air is compressed and purified (removing the oil, water and dust, etc.) before transferring into the absorption tower filled with carbon molecular sieves (CMS), the oxygen molecule will be adsorbed by carbon molecular sieve, while nitrogen molecules are too large so that they will be remained in the air. Those nitrogen molecules will pass through the tower into the nitrogen buffer tank, while oxygen molecules remain in the CMS. The adsorption process is performed at certain pressure, after that the atmospheric pressure will be resumed, and the adsorbed oxygen molecules will be escaped from CMS, pass the bottom of the tower through the exhaust silencing muffler into the air, and the CMS is available to be reused. Usually PSA nitrogen generator adopts double adsorption towers in parallel, they will be used alternatively for the adsorption and collection of the nitrogen under different pressure, continuously supporting the separation of oxygen and nitrogen. The above process will be automatically controlled by PLC system.

  • Selection of Renowned Brand Components: We offer optional components from leading brands, including Atlas Copco air compressors, Japan Iwatani molecular sieves, Siemens controllers, Airtac electronic components, Burkert (Germany) valves, and GEMÜ (Germany) valves.
  • Remote Real-time Equipment Monitoring:
    1). Reserved RS485 communication ports (Modbus or Profibus communication protocols) or Industrial Ethernet communication ports are available to facilitate user integration of nitrogen generation equipment signals into their DCS (Distributed Control System) for real-time monitoring.
    2). We can directly provide industrial PCs, monitoring software, printers, etc., for seamless integration with the nitrogen generation equipment's control system for real-time monitoring.
    3). An Internet-based intelligent IoT (Internet of Things) system can also be provided for intelligent analysis and monitoring.
  • Automatic Purging of Off-Spec Nitrogen:
    1). A product nitrogen sampling port is provided for the analyzer to sample and determine if the product nitrogen purity meets specifications.
    2). If purity is off-spec, the system automatically switches to the off-spec gas path to vent nitrogen.
    3). Once purity returns to specification, it automatically switches back to the qualified gas path to deliver product nitrogen to the consumption end.
  • Adsorption Tower Structure Technology:Further enhances molecular sieve utilization and improves equipment performance. The unique adsorption tower structure design effectively changes the speed and direction of internal airflow, reducing dead spaces within the tower. This further boosts molecular sieve utilization while preventing high-pressure airflow from impacting the molecular sieve, reducing pulverization. These factors contribute to extending molecular sieve lifespan, improving adsorption performance, and reducing energy consumption.
