The ZN series centrifugal pump adopts a wide flow-passage and single pump casing design, allowing non-blocking performance for transporting media with larger particles. We also thickened the wet ends to meet the requirements of higher head and higher working pressure conditions, providing customers with an 8'' thickness wall gravel pump and 10'' thickness wall gravel pump.
This series of pump can perfectly satisfy the requirements of dredging vessels, especially applicable to sand dredging, reclamation, mud dredging and other operations in rivers and lakes.
ZN series pump features- The suction port size uses large proportion design to reduce the net positive suction head (NPSH). This can increase dredging depth, improve efficiency while ensuring strong suction performance.
- The adoption of 5 blades makes the running more stable, as well as improving the working efficiency of the pump.
- Impeller, liner, liner plate and other wet ends are made of high abrasion-resistance alloy cast iron. With over 62HRC hardness, the parts have strong impact resistance and high abrasion resistance.
- The media usually contain larger stones in sand extraction operations, which will cause impact on the wet ends. To solve this problem, we can adjust the content of metal elements in the material to improve its toughness for having better impact resistance.
- The pump casing and pump cover are bolted together for easy maintenance of the pump in cabin with limited space.
Adopting a single casing, single stage, single suction, cantilevered and horizontal structure, it can be classified into 2 kinds following the connection mode of the gearbox - self-carrying bracket and integral pump and gearbox. The lubricating method of the self-carrying bracket type is grease or dilute oil.

As for the larger pumps, customers have higher requirements on transporting distance. Thus, some pumps can adopt double-casing structure to bear higher pressure. And it is dilute oil lubricated.

Considering that ZN series pumps are usually used on ships or underwater, customers hope that we can provide complete and well-designed pump systems when contacting us so they can be directly installed inside the cabin to save installation time and cost.
After years of development, we now have three kinds of mature centrifugal pump systems, including a pump head, reduction gear box, high-elastic coupling, diesel engine and other parts. The pumps with different design structures can be applied in different occasions based on customer demands.
1. Pump with self-bracket
This is the most common type. The pump casing, gear box and driver are fixed through the bracket to create a more stable structure. It is best suited for small dredging vessels.
2. Integral pump and gear box
This kind of centrifugal pump is specially designed for use as an inboard pump for large dredging boats. To make the whole pump system more portable, we abandoned the bracket structure and specially customized a gear box and diesel engine which can share one bearing with the pump. This makes the pump casing, gear box and diesel engine connected as a whole.
For the limited loading capacity of the dredging boat, the actual utilization efficiency of the boat is increased naturally with this pump which is lighter than other pumps of equivalent transporting capacity.
3. Submersible pump with 30m suction depth
A common problem occurring in dredging is that the height of the sand bed to the water surface may exceed the suction depth (15m-20m) that can be obtained by a normal horizontal sand gravel pump. If adopting the general submersible pumps, it is easy to overload and over-current the motor, or you may even flood the motor and other safety risks.
The submersible pump is a new type of pump developed and produced for solving these two problems. Its maximum suction depth exceeds 30m, providing safety, stability and durability.
To make the pump casing more suitable for underwater operation, we exchanged the pump's frame part and adopted a special bearing and 3-layer sealing structure to protect the bearing assembly from the influence of water.
Tips: if the pump's working depth is 20m, then a suction pipe of at least 30m is required. This will reduce the suction pressure, thus leading to low suction efficiency. Aiming to solve this problem, we recommend that you install the submersible pump near land to improve suction pressure.
