API Spec 16C Flexible Hose Assemblies for Oilfield Drilling Applications
Choke and kill hoses are generally used to connect kill manifolds or choke manifolds with drilling spools and connect mud tanks with accumulators on oil rigs or drilling ships, in order to deliver oil, gas, mud and other high-pressure media.
Features
- The reinforcement layer of the hose adopts imported high-strength steel wires.
- The choke and kill hose applies imported rubber and our company’s special formula to the inner rubber layer and special synthetic materials to the sealing layer. The hose is thus H2S resistant and able to withstand high-speed flows of oil- and water-based mud as well as extreme weathers. The formula can be adjusted based on the transported media.
- Flange joints at the hose end adopt anti-corrosively and thermally treated 45K/60K/75K materials. The joints are swivel-type and forged with our company’s patented technology. With identical bore diameters, the couplings can be connected to the tube without leading to choked and eddy flows and cut loss.
- The fire resistant layer is made with our company’s patented technology and supports the hose to function for 30 minutes under the rated pressure and in 704℃ fire.
- The outer layer is wrapped with stainless steel and electrostatic powder coatings, leading to good performance in anticorrosion and static resistance.
