The belt filter press is a type of material dehydrating equipment, which can be used with air flotation equipment to dehydrate and press the suspended matter and sludge produced after air flotation process into filter cake to prevent pollution. The belt filter press can also be used to concentrate slurry and extract waste liquor.

Filter Cloth
The filter cloth of the belt filter press is made of monofilaments and multifilaments with cross-section. It can intercept two to ten micron materials and the material is easy to peel off.

Working Principle

  • a: Sludge Tank
  • b: Backflow
  • c: Sludge
  • d: Chemical/Polymer
  • e: Feeding Inlet
  • f: Backflow
  • g: Feeding Inlet

After mixing the concentrated sludge and certain concentration of flocculants, the small particles in the sludge will coagulate into larger flocculent aggregates. The flocculated sludge will be transported to the belt filter, where the free water will be separated under the action of gravity. The sludge in the dynamic state is then clamped between the upper and lower mesh belts. Under the action of extrusion force and shearing forces in the precompressed zone, meiobar and high-pressure region, the sludge is gradually pressed into filter cake and finally discharged.
