Air Separator, Solid Waste Sorting Machine
Air separators, also known as air drum separators, are used in solid waste screening lines to separate light and heavy materials through controlled airflow. A typical air separator system includes a centrifugal fan, rotating drum separation unit, belt conveyor, and settling chamber. During operation, the airflow is adjusted according to the material being processed, so the separation is cleaner and more stable. Lighter materials such as plastic film and paper are carried by the air stream to one side, while heavier materials such as soil, stones, wood pieces, and other dense residues drop into a separate outlet. Air separators are used in municipal solid waste, landfill stale material, renovation waste, and industrial solid waste sorting projects to divide mixed materials before recycling or further treatment.

- Fully enclosed negative-pressure separation keeps dust contained during operation, helping maintain a cleaner working area.
- Air speed can be adjusted smoothly according to material weight, density, and separation requirements.
- The PLC control system supports both manual and automatic operation, making it easier to adjust the air separator for different working conditions.
