Alloy cast iron has a tensile strength of >21on/mm² and a hardness value of HB187~241, proving its high hardness and excellent abrasion resistance. Because of those two features, it is often used to produce brake disc, brake drum and other industrial parts. Taking into consideration the cutting requirements of this material, the PCBN content in the cutting inserts needs to be high, with a medium to high grain size. REALY's cutting inserts feature a 93-95% PCBN content and medium to high grain size, thus meeting requirements for cutting alloy cast iron.
