Pressure Forming (Thermoforming)
Pressure forming is an optimal manufacturing process for silicone rubber products, due to its high production efficiency, precision in product size and ability to accommodate large-scale production.
During pressure forming, a certain quantity of plastic is placed into two metal molds, heated with a specific temperature and pressure. The process of plasticizing the material occurs within the mold cavity, as it flows underneath pressure to fill the space completely.
Pressure forming is a widely used manufacturing process in a variety of industries, from agriculture and transportation to electrical engineering, chemical production, construction, machinery and more. Its dependable quality has enabled it to be used even in the production of defense equipment such as weapons, aircraft, missiles, and satellites.
