Water Caltrop Salvage Boat in Xiangyang
Early to mid-March every year, water caltrop of Xiangyang moat grows quickly because of adequate nutrient of bottom silt and good light conditions. Once the caltrop grows fast, more than 300 acres of water area will be covered by caltrop, which not only causes severe impact on the moat scenery and is also bad for the growth of fish.
Traditionally, it is used to adopt manual harvesting with low efficiency. 4 boats of 8 workers can harvest for 1 ton of caltrop at most. Besides, the manual harvesting speed is less than the growing speed of caltrop.
Xiangyang urban management enforcement bureau purchased a full-automatic Aquatic weed cleaning equipment for cleaning caltrop on the river. The boat is equipped with 90 horsepower diesel engine with the dimension of 15*3.5m(L*W), which can clean 1500 square meter water area and salvage one boat of caltrop every 40 minute with the weight of about 2 tons. Therefore, you can clean 20 tons of caltrop every day, which is more than 20 times of manual salvage.
