Characteristics of Direct Drive Screw Air Compressor
- Features easy installation, operation and maintenance, high corrosion resistance, and oil pollution prevention;
- Ensures improved efficiency and energy saving due to the compact structure and high transmission efficiency;
- With accurate transmission, the damping vibration isolating characteristic effectively eliminates the vibration and impact caused by the air end.
- The operation cost of the direct drive screw compressor is higher than the one with belt transmission.
Benefits of Direct Drive
- Efficiency
The gear driven efficiency can reach up to 98%-99%, and the belt driven efficiency is 94%-98%. - No-load Power Consumption
For gear transmission, the no-load pressure is generally maintained at more than 2.5bar. For direct drive and belt drive, the no-load pressure can theoretically be 0 bar. In order for high operation safety, the pressure should be maintained at 0.5 bar. - Installed Air Compressor Pressure Change
Customers are allowed to easily change the installed air compressor pressure according to the actual production requirements. - Maintenance and Repair Cost
It is easy to change the seal of the direct drive, only need to replace the coupling, saving maintenance and repair costs.
