As a kind of composite nonwoven material, SMS nonwovens are a combination of spunbond (S) type and meltblown (M) type. Mixing different processing methods improves the physical properties of the fabric, particularly its barrier characteristics. Currently, SMS nonwovens are widely applied in medical and hygiene products, such as surgical gowns and caps.
