Thanks to the development of technology, plant growing is not limited to specific times of the year, and people can grow them inside their homes and in greenhouses. When the seeds germinate and the temperature is too low, or outdoor light is not guaranteed to facilitate healthy plant growth, an LED plant grow light will offer an ideal solution to imitate the sunlight needed.

Incandescent lamps are the least expensive. Though they only cover a few plants, the heat generated by this lamp is relatively strong. The distance between the lamps and the plants should be 60cm or more in order to protect the plants against damage from the bulb’s high temperature.

Fluorescent lamps are a great choice for indoor growth, as a traditional fluorescent bulb is only suitable for promoting plant sprouting. Because the fluorescent lamps produce very little heat, the use of one as an illumination source is not ideal for those who grow plants in greenhouses.

Metal halide lamp or high pressure sodium lamps are also an option, however, they are more expensive and have a higher operational cost. The high energy discharge produces a large amount of light, and the blue light promotes plant growth, though it doesn’t promote flowering. The high pressure sodium lamp promotes plant sprouting and flowering, but is not ideal for growth of a plant torso.

LED plant grow lights are a new choice, because they generate very little heat and require very low power levels. We can program the LED light to accurately imitate the 5,700K color temperature of sunlight. The light produced flows between a red and blue spectrum, thus promoting both growth and flowering.
