The integrated DTH drilling rig features robust automation capability and high drilling efficiency. The integrated design of the drilling rig and the air compressor addresses the challenge of travelling and remote control of air compressor, compressed air loss and high labor costs. Equipped with a high-performance hydraulic dust collector, the rig offers an environmental-friendly mining solution that meets the environmental protection requirements.

The integrated drilling rig is mainly used for hydro-power engineering, open pit mining, road construction and blasting operation of national defense engineering.

Main Components
  • Rotation unit
    The rotation unit delivers large torque and high reduction ratio which contribute to high transmission efficiency, stable operation and low failure rates. The great performance lowers maintenance costs.
    It reduces the possibility of drill bits getting stuck in unconsolidated formation and increases the success rate of drilling holes.
    High molecular liner plates are wear-resistant and durable with no need of oiling.
    Manganese steel-framed guide rail is added to protect the mast from wear.
    Optional dual-drive high-low speed rotation system is available.
  • Automatic rod changer
    It is simple to operate the automatic rod changer to control rod storage, rod loading, unloading and movement of machine clamp. Adopting a clamping design, the changer can easily load and unload the rod and increase work efficiency.
  • Operation panel
    All the operations of the rig can be realized by the integrated control system.
    The control system enables rapid feeding and lifting. The feeding force is adjustable based on different environments, which reduces drilling time and increases efficiency.
  • Undercarriage
    The undercarriage adopts a robust design of four wheels and one track. Widened tracks enable smooth travelling and strong climbing capability to support heavy-duty drilling jobs.
    4 leveling jacks are designed to angle to 10 degrees left and right to support drilling work in rough terrains. It supports high and low speed shifts to realize flexible movement between drilling sites.
  • Maintenance-free feeding unit
    Hydraulic-mechanical lock system supports stable torque output of hydraulic motors while avoiding hydraulic leak and sliding.
  • Dust collector
    The hydraulic dust collector with a sliding cover that collects dust delivers stable and efficient performance, which extends the rig’s service life and ensures a clean working environment.
  • Power system
    High-power turbocharged direct injection engine with water cooling function delivers reliable performance and is energy-saving.
    Two-stage air filter ensures intake of clean air and reduces failure rates of engine.
    Imported hydraulic pumps and valves feature pressure resistance, large output, high quality and long service life.
  • Air compressor
    Atlas Copco air compressor with working pressure of 17 bar and air delivery of 17 m3/min demonstrates reliable performance to support drilling through a variety of rocks.

DTH drilling is one of the drilling methods for deep foundations. Powered by hydraulic pressure, the drilling rods transmit energy to the drilling bits to break hard rocks into small cuttings and dust that are evacuated by air.

Utilizing hydraulic power and air, DTH drilling method is suitable for drilling holes in hard rocks, such as granites and basalts. With excellent air compressor, it greatly improves drilling efficiency.

Both rotary drilling and DTH drilling are common surface mining methods. However, DTH drilling methods enjoys the advantage of high drilling efficiency, especially drilling through hard rocks.
