Pad mounted transformers are a new type of power distribution devices also known as American box transformers. The transformer applies mineral oil in insulation and cooling. Its oil tank is home to high-voltage load switches, plug-in fuses and high-voltage current-limiting fuses. The pad mounted transformer is commonly adopted by substations, overhead transmission lines and switchgears and in fields of railway transportation and solar and wind energy. Particularly it is suitable to be used in urban power grids’ load centers to reduce power loss and improve power supply quality.
Features
- Compact structure, small size and small land area;
- Flexible installation and convenient operation.
