FSM-40A reflective double sided foil insulation material uses flame retardant adhesive for bonding the 7μm aluminum foil, tri-directional fiberglass scrim reinforcement, and the 12.5μm metallized polyester film. It has high and low temperature resistance, and remains good flexibility without delamination in a wide temperature range.
Tested according to ASTM standards, the double sided foil insulation material comes with low emissivity of only 0.03, and water vapor transmission rate of only 1.15ng/N.s. This makes the product an ideal radiant barrier or vapor barrier material. It is commonly used outside of glass wool to wrap flexible ducts, and is able to protect the glass wool from water vapor.
