Fluted Reamer & Hole Opener
Fluted reamer is a kind of cone drilling bit with spiral grooves on surface and cutting edges distributed in point or linear shape. It has the features of spiral reamer but it's not easy to get caught in stratum like screw threads and has relatively larger reaming resistance. Fluted reamer is especially suitable for intact soil layer and has dual functions of extruding and cutting. It can realize good molding after reaming and it has long service life. In addition, practice proves that it shows good effect in many general strata. The streamline design of grooves makes it easy for mud to flow and cool and is helpful for self cleaning of drill bits. However,when using in high viscosity soil layer, it's easy to produce bit balling phenomenon that the bit is formed into mud balling shape, which leads to very low reaming efficiency. This will also cause much residue after reaming, which leads to longer hole cleaning time. Besides, the machining cost of this reamer bit is relatively high.

SpecificationThe fluted reamers produced in our factory have specifications of φ250mm~φ1500mm. Threads connected to core shaft can be matched according to users' requirements.
Product maintenanceClean the mud and sand pasted on bit surface every time after back reaming process and particularly clear the nozzle hole for mud. Meantime, check the wear of core shaft connected threads and the conditions of cutting edges. Pay attention and don't collide or heavily press when transporting and stacking in order not to damage cutting edges and threads. Coat thread dope and screw thread protector on threads.
