A fibre optic splitter is used to distribute optical light in one fiber into two or more fibers, or combine optical signals from two or more fibers into one fiber.
Our beam splitter covers two models which are PLC splitter and FBT splitter. For 1×4 or higher split ratio applications where light is evenly distributed, PLC splitter is highly recommended since it exhibits better uniformity and stability. For 1×2 or other applications where light is not evenly distributed, FBT splitter is a preferred choice because its wavelength and light distribution ratio are customizable, and it is also cheaper.
