MVPS Series Magnetic Variable Position Sensor
MVPS series magnetic variable position sensor is an inductive positioning sensor optimized for a high-precision, continuous position detection. Based on the high-precision evaluation of multiple coil systems, the position encoding system is a combination of tried and tested inductive sensor technology and innovative microcontroller technology.
The compact and robust design of magnetic variable position sensor allows for a contactless and thus wear free position detection in measuring lengths of 80 mm, 40 mm and 120 mm. The sensor is with integrated temperature compensation, it is also optimally suited for rough environments and critical positioning tasks, provides a current and voltage signal at the outputs, which is proportional to the position of the attenuating element.
Due to the inductive principle of operation, you do not need any ferrites or magnets as a counterpart, the actuator can be made of any metal.

The position sensor is used to detect the position of a metallic target (activator) mounted on or machined into the moving part of the application. There is no contact between the position sensor and the moving part, providing excellent long-term reliability in harsh environments including high/low temperatures and thermal shock, vibration, shock, dust, grime, salt spray and pressure.
