OBEM Ocean Bottom Electromagnetic Meter
Ocean bottom electromagnetic meters are a kind of marine geophysical observation and exploration instrument that is used to receive and record ocean bottom electromagnetic signal. According to the equipped sensors, ocean bottom electromagnetic meters can be divided into ocean bottom electrical meter (OBE), ocean bottom magnetic meter (OBM) and ocean bottom electromagnetic meter (OBEM). As an advanced high-tech ocean seismic observation product developed in recent years, ocean bottom electromagnetic meters are widely used for marine survey, marine resource exploration, ocean bottom structure research and disaster prevention and mitigation, becoming one of the key instruments of marine geophysical survey and a new highlight and growth point in marine geophysical instrument and observation technology.
ApplicationThere are internal small low frequency fluxgate sensors and filling electric sensors inside OBEM. OBEM can be used for sea bottom and artificial magnetotelluric sounding.
