General Fabric Conveyor Belt
The general fabric conveyor belt is a primary part of the conveyor, designed for transporting and loading materials. The multi-ply or mono-ply fabric, which consists of cotton, nylon and polyester or vinylon, is adopted as the carcass. The general rubber is adopted as the cover rubber which provides the conveyor belt with a smooth surface. The general fabric conveyor belt is widely used in a variety of industries such as metallurgy, construction, electricity, mining industry and so on.
Compared to other transportation means, conveyor belts have the following advantages: safe operations, easy and quick maintenance, low transportation cost, continuous conveyance and shortened transport distances, which has made the general fabric conveyor belting an alternative to road or railway transportation in a certain extent. This conveyor belt is ideal for conveying non-corrosive normal-temperature powdery and granular materials under general conditions. The high strength layer is made from superior cotton canvas or vinylon-cotton, polyester-cotton canvas.
- The general fabric conveyor belt is made from cotton canvas or vinylon-cotton and fine made by rolling, forming and vulcanization processes.
- The fabric conveyor belt can be designed to different styles to meet different application requirements, such as with covering edge, opening edge and trapezoidal shapes.
- Cotton fiber can easily adhere to the rubber and the strength will slightly enhance in wet condition; The strength of vinylon fiber can reach 200 N/(mm·layer) and its elastic elongation is lower than nylon fiber. The vinylon also features good stickiness to rubber and good heat resistance, but the strength will decrease by 10~25% in wet condition.
