Inconel Alloy
Nickel-based superalloys
Inconel is a high-performance nickel-based superalloy known for its exceptional resistance to high temperatures, oxidation, and corrosion. Composed primarily of nickel (Ni), chromium (Cr), and iron (Fe), this alloy is widely utilized in demanding environments where extreme heat, pressure, and aggressive chemicals are present. While materials like steel have a higher melting temperature than nickel, their performance in terms of strength and corrosion resistance begins to deteriorate at elevated temperatures. Inconel, on the other hand, maintains excellent strength properties at high temperatures and forms a protective oxide layer that resists corrosion at high temperatures.
Due to its outstanding mechanical strength, thermal stability, and durability, Inconel is extensively used across aerospace, energy, chemical processing, and marine industries.
