The vapor recovery valve is a critical part of the vapor recovery system used on fuel tankers to reduce vapor emissions and maintain safety during fuel loading and unloading. It is installed on the manhole cover and allows safe redirection of fuel vapors during transfer, helping to minimize vapor loss, protect the environment, and ensure compliance with emission regulations.

Engineered for pneumatic operation, this valve is installed directly on the manhole cover or on the top of the tanker. It includes a lift-type internal valve that opens into the tank and automatically seals in case of vehicle rollover or excessive pressure, helping to prevent fuel spillage and product loss in accidents.

The pressure is adjusted by rotating the adjustment nut, which changes the spring tension. A tighter setting results in a higher pressure threshold. Pressure adjustments should be made according to the equipment specifications and user manual, and care must be taken not to overtighten, as this may damage the valve or cause unstable pressure regulation.
