With the increasing presence of synthetic diamonds and moissanites in the market, accurately distinguishing them from natural diamonds has become more challenging. Even experienced gemologists cannot reliably differentiate them using the naked eye or conventional tools. Traditionally, this identification process requires high-end laboratory equipment, which can be costly and less accessible for routine testing.
To address this need, the SDC-100 and SDC-200 diamond testers have been developed using modern intelligent technology, incorporating years of gemological research and identification data. These instruments provide a fast, non-destructive solution for distinguishing between natural diamonds, CVD/HPHT lab-grown diamonds, and moissanites. The SDC-100 diamond tester is designed to analyze loose diamonds ranging from 2mm to 10mm, while the SDC-200 offers the same capabilities but can also test mounted diamonds. Based on established testing principles, these gemstone identification instruments offer a practical and efficient approach for professionals handling diamond authentication.
Note: These gemological instruments are intended exclusively for testing natural diamonds, CVD/HPHT synthetic diamonds, and moissanites. They cannot be used to analyze other types of gemstones.

- Capable of testing both loose and mounted diamonds.
- Not suitable for distinguishing natural colored diamonds, only applicable for Cape series (colorless) diamonds.
- Before using the SDC-100 diamond tester, it is recommended to first sort out moissanites, synthetic diamonds (CVD/HPHT), and natural diamonds from the batch diamonds with a thermal conductivity tester.
- If the test result indicates CVD/HPHT, there is a small possibility that the stone could be a natural diamond (such as Type IIa Diamond). Further testing is advised.
