Gem Microscope with Upright Stand Arm
Gem microscopes are widely used in gemstone identification, suitable for detailed observation of inclusions and surface features that are not visible to the naked eye. These instruments are essential for detecting synthetic stones, treated gems, and imitations. Designed for jewelry retailers and gem enthusiasts, they offer a wide field of view, sharp imaging, and strong depth perception, making them a practical choice for gemstone evaluation.
Equipped with ultra-bright LED white light, the microscope features both bottom and top illumination, offering multiple lighting modes to enhance gemstone visibility. The system supports bright-field illumination, dark-field illumination, and top lighting, ensuring optimal observation conditions.
The base lighting system includes a power switch, transformer, high-intensity LED light, mode selector, brightness adjustment, and an iris diaphragm:
- Bright-field mode (I → BF): The LED positioned directly beneath the stage is turned on, while the ring of side LEDs remains off. This setup provides direct illumination from below, offering a clear and high-contrast view of the gemstone. The iris diaphragm can be adjusted to control light intensity depending on the size of the specimen.
- Dark-field mode (II → DF): In this mode, the ring of side LEDs is turned on and the bottom LED is off. This creates a dark background, which enhances the visibility of inclusions through side illumination. Expanding the iris diaphragm improves the side lighting for better clarity.
Activating the top LED light provides reflected illumination, useful for examining external gemstone features and surface textures.
