Evaporation Pressure Regulator Valve
Introduction
Evaporation pressure regulator valves are widely used in the suction line of evaporator equipment in order to protect against an evaporating pressure that is too low by throttling down when the pressure falls below set values.
1. These valves maintain a constant evaporating pressure, as well as a constant surface temperature on the evaporator. Regulation is carried out through a modulating process- by throttling in the suction line, the amount of refrigerant gas is matched to the evaporator load.
2. They also protect against an evaporating pressure that is too low. The regulator closes when the pressure in the evaporator falls below the set value.
3. Each valve is also used to differentiate between the evaporating pressures in two or more evaporators in a system with a single compressor.
