D Series Marine Engine
The D series engine is a new generation diesel engine meticulously crafted by SDEC using advanced European and American engine technology, in conjunction with AVL and SWRI (Southwest Research Institute), and in accordance with North American heavy-duty diesel engine standards. It is an outstanding representative of the technologically advanced mature models with similar displacement in China, and the social inventory of this series of products exceeds 1 million units. This series (D683) marine diesel engine is developed based on the needs of high-speed boats in China. It has advantages such as compact structure, strong power, good economy, and low vibration and noise. It can meet various application in high-speed patrol boats, yachts, traffic boats, work boats, as well as ships such as passenger ships and ferries, as well as the 180-259 kW marine generator set market.

- The 6-hole high pressure fuel injector is combined with a w-shaped combustion chamber to optimize air-fuel mixing. Adopting an efficient fuel cooler provides economic application range in a wide power range.
- The designs of wet alloy cast iron cylinder liner, forging reinforced crankshaft, crankshaft bearing and connecting rod bearing with strong bearing capacity, water cooled exhaust manifold and electronic monitoring instrument monitored engine running are used to ensure the safe operation and minimize downtime of the engine.
- Optimized combustion characteristics, coupled with a turbocharger and intercooling technologies can reduce the pressure rise rate during combustion and result in soft and full combustion.
- High precisely machined parts enables engine operation smooth with low vibration and noise.
- With compact bore spacing, low piston compression height and integrated design of parts, all the accessories are integrated on the cylinder block, making the size greatly reduced with light weight and convenient maintenance.
