PLM-24-LOCSET 24-channel laser multi-jitter control unit is a laser array parameter controller based on a signal integral optimization iterative algorithm. It is widely used in fields such as laser coherent beam combining, power combining, and industrial optimization control, effectively mitigating the effects of mechanical vibrations and thermal noise on laser beams. The laser multi-jitter controller can achieve delay and phase synchronization for 24 lasers in a few microseconds, with a convergence speed that is two orders of magnitude higher than SPGD controllers.

Composition & Principle

PLM-24-LOCSET laser multi-jitter controller consists of an AC220V/DC24V power supply circuit, an LOCSET control circuit, a frequency synthesis circuit, and SMA input/output interfaces. It receives a demodulated analog input signal, which is used as the objective function for the control algorithm. The algorithm runs simultaneously on the computing unit for each individual channel. Based on the current input value, the algorithm calculates a digital output value and converts it into a single-channel output signal, achieving fast phase locking and beam combining for multiple lasers with a convergence speed of up to 3μs.

Customization

A single PLM-24-LOCSET laser multi-jitter control unit can simultaneously output 24 control parameters. The laser control system is scalable via clock synchronization to manage additional modules, and the number of channels can be customized to meet user-specific requirements.
