SP Spur Gear Slew Drive
Spur gear slew drive, also known as gear slew drive, is a rotary reducer with a certain reduction ratio. This rotary reducer is composed of slewing bearing, gear, shell, adapter flange, support bearing, and seal carefully constructed through a series of processes including design, manufacturing, commissioning, as well as assembly. It has the ability to bear axial force, radial force and overturning moment at the same time. Built to withstand axial force, radial force, and overturning moment all at once, this slew drive is made of 42CrMo alloy steel forgings that undergo modulation (Q T) treatment for an impressive hardness range of 229-269 HB.
To improve bearing capacity, wear resistance, toughness, and impact resistance, the raceway and teeth are subjected to surface quenching treatment. Available in three series with different module sizes - M=4 (light load), M=6 (medium load), and M=8 (heavy load) - the drive's height corresponds to the load range in ascending order from low to high. The sealing of the slewing bearing, on the one hand, is to prevent the leakage of filled grease, on the other hand, is to prevent the outside dust, impurities and moisture from invading into the exterior of the bearing and affecting its work. The sealing ring of LYJW slewing bearing is made of nitrile rubber material, which is resistant to high temperature and corrosion.
The raceways of slewing ring bearing are quenched on the surface. Its quenching hardness is set at HRC55-62, ensuring its effective hardening depth.
Due to the need to transmit force, slewing bearings usually have teeth on one of the rings. The toothing is generally normalized or quenched and tempered. Depending on the application, the gears can also be full-tooth hardened or single-tooth inductively hardened. Single tooth inductively hardening can be divided into full tooth hardening and tooth foot (flanks and base) hardening.
