Ice storage chiller harnesses the power of cold energy by utilizing refrigeration equipment to freeze it into the form of ice during times when electricity costs are low. During the peak periods of electricity usage, the ice can be melted into chill water, allowing for a cost-effective cooling system and improved air conditioning quality. This technology can be applied to other areas as well, such as industrial refrigeration process water and reducing installed capacity.

This unique two-way counter-current arrangement of the coil structure provides a perfect solution for effective use of space in an ice storage tank. Competing flows on adjacent coils create a thick ice layer at the inlet and a thin one at the outlet, resulting in a cone-like shape in the ice-making process. Furthermore, the gap between the ice layers is retained, preventing 0°C water from creating a bridge which would arise with an incompletely frozen ice storage system. Both internal and external ice-melting systems can benefit from this innovative technology.

This composite coil features a reduced ice thickness, low comprehensive thermal resistance, elevated heat transfer coefficient, and noteworthy operating efficiency of the main engine during ice production. Additionally, its patented structure design boosts the unit cooling capacity with a large heat exchange area and superb heat exchange performance. Within 8 hours of ice making, the outlet temperature of the main engine reaches -5.6°C.
