The benchtop fume hood is used for the extraction of harmful fumes, aerosol, dust and heat from the internal workplace, protecting lab workers against hazardous substances and prevents dangerous fumes and other pollutants from entering the lab. It is NOT suitable for use with radioactive substances or microorganisms, as it is not explosion resistant and not suitable for openly breaking down chemicals.
